Privacy Policy
Effective July 20, 2026. This policy describes how Certus Legal Services ("Certus," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information through certuslegalservices.com.
Information we collect
When you submit our scheduling form or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, firm or organization, email address, phone number, proceeding details (such as date, format, and case caption), and anything you include in a message. If you contact us by phone or email, we collect the information you share in that communication.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use this site — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and what device and browser they use. This is measurement, not advertising: we do not run ad trackers, we do not build advertising audiences, and we do not use this data to target you anywhere else. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. You can opt out at any time by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on, or by using your browser's Do Not Track or cookie-blocking settings.
Our hosting provider may also log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and operations.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, confirm coverage, prepare quotes, deliver our services, and communicate with you about your matter. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use a small number of service providers to operate this site, each of which may process limited data on our behalf: Web3Forms (delivers form submissions to our inbox), Vercel (website hosting), Google Analytics (site usage measurement), Google Fonts (typefaces; your browser requests font files from Google), and Unsplash (image delivery). These providers receive only what is necessary to perform their function.
Confidentiality of case information
We recognize that scheduling requests may reference active legal matters. Case-related information you submit is used solely to staff and deliver the requested services and is handled with the discretion the record deserves. Please do not include privileged or sensitive substantive material in the scheduling form — the case caption and logistics are all we need.
Retention
We retain inquiry and engagement information for as long as needed to provide services, meet professional and legal obligations, and maintain business records, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@certuslegalservices.com. If you are a resident of a state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you may have additional rights under that law, and we will honor verified requests as it requires. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
Children
This site is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
